A commercial litigation generalist, Ben Kussman offers specific areas of experience resolving disputes related to real estate and construction, contracts, employment, and blockchain issues and regulatory compliance. Ben has a background in private practice and corporate in-house law, which includes serving as general counsel to a blockchain startup company. In addition to being co-founder of the company, Ben led risk management and gained valuable insights into what business owners need from their attorney when lawsuits or competitors threaten their companies. Ben communicates concisely and positions clients strategically, always mindful of the budgetary impact of litigation on clients’ operations.
In Ben’s representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts, he has guided veterans of complex litigation as well as entrepreneurs and business owners who find themselves in a lawsuit for the first time. He calibrates his counsel to each client’s goals and business pressures. Clients particularly appreciate Ben’s steady hand and confidence in contentious situations, as he leverages his understanding of the law into effective client advocacy.
Ben joined Annaguey McCann to forge deeper relationships with commercial clients, which includes counseling and issue spotting to prevent litigation from arising. He believes no two clients are alike. He invests time to identify the unique nature of each challenge and customizes dispute resolutions to move clients forward.
A graduate of The George Washington School of Law and of the University of Southern California, Ben has been selected to the Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list since 2021.
